Richard Simmons: Sweatin' to the Oldies 3 DVD Review

Richard Simmons is a zany lovable fitness fanatic that has lost a ton of weight himself. The Sweatin series of DVDs feature classic oldies songs and a group of "work in progress" exercisers. The fun factor is high in these and the music is good in this one, not as great as the previous 2 IMO. You wont need any equipment for this 55 minute workout.

The group works out in a carnival studio Songs Featured include California Dreamin', Do You Want to Dance, Build Me Up Buttercup, and more. Exercises include: pony, swim, drumming, side heel tap, reaches, marches with various arm motions, knee raises, grapevine, and other low impact exercises.

The choreo and intensity in these are both high beginner but can easily be adapted up or down to suit your needs. The "dance-esque" moves remind me of being a kid & making up little routines to go with songs, as the exercises tend to match the lyrics. This one is fun on the floor and also great on the rebounder. Richard and the group are obviously having a ton of fun & the energy is contagious. I am a fan! I did not receive this DVD to review. I pulled these out & dusted them off during my back injury period for some fun low impact cardio.
