The Unleashed Body: Yoga Unleashed With Heidy Tejeda

The Unleashed Body: Yoga Unleashed
Heidy Tejeda, 2014

Heidy leads this routine with one backgrounder in a yoga studio. The DVD contains a 42 min yoga routine & a 10 min bonus core routine. You wont need any equipment for these routines. The workouts are done voiceover.

Main Routine: Exercises include breathing, sun salutation, warrior pose, seated twist, balance pose, seated hip stretch, forward angle fold, balance series, tree, plank, side plank, low back series, boat, bridge hold, back bend, full bridge hold, stretch series, side knee drops, shoulder stand variations, a seated stretch pose, and concludes with corpse pose.

Ab Routine: knee side plank leg raises, side plank, child pose, V drop, spinal rotation, full roll up, and seated reaches.

In the main routine, Heidy does not provide cuing, so you will need to watch the screen or it may take a few times through to get the flow down. Because of this and some advanced poses interspersed I would recommend this routine to more advanced yogis. She does offer some encouragement & yoga info as you go. I received this DVD to review.

Spice Lab: Infused Sea Salts & Gourmet Teas

Introducing to you a company YOU MUST check out: The Spice Lab! They offer fine leaf teas, Himalayan rock salts, infused salts, spices, sea salts and so much more. I love tea & I love cooking and creating new flavors so I was beyond thrilled to discover The Spice Lab. I had never even heard of infused salts until I discovered the Spice Lab and I will NOT GO BACK to regular salt. Infused salts enable you to use less salt (reducing your sodium intake) because they pack a flavor punch so you need less to create better, bolder flavors. Keep reading for a full rave & review of some of my favorite The Spice Lab products!

This Gourmet Salt Collection includes 4 of the best tasting, hard-to-find salts in the world. These multi-pack samplers of salts are a great way to spice up your next meal, and are convenient to use and store and come in this fab wooden holder and cute tubes; perfect for kitchen countertops. They even comes with reference cards with detailed descriptions and suggestions on which salts go with which dishes, making it easy to create the perfect combination of flavors. But seriously, sprinkle on almost any dish for an amazing pop of flavor. My favorite way to use them is on roasted veggies. Toss almost any veggie (tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, onions, zucchini, cabbage, the list goes on & on) with olive or avocado oil and sprinkle with your choice of Spice Lab infused salts, roast at 450 until done & ENJOY! Even my picky husband LOVES veggies this way.

I also had the pleasure of reviewing the Spice Lab British Tea Collection. The fun Pyrex tubes with all natural cork stoppers look great in the fun wooden base, making this a great gift or perfect to leave on your table or counter. Each tube holds enough to make two to three pots of tea.  Reference cards on each tea and brewing instructions are included. Every tea lover on your gift list will enjoy this unique collection of fine teas. Tea is full of antioxidants and a great alternative to coffee. Forget the sugars & heavy creamer, enjoy this flavorful tea as is and save those calories.

The British Tea Collection contains 12 awesome varieties

As you know I am a huge fan of the DBelt and am so excited to tell you about their new DBelt Pro! Leslie Sansone Tone Every Zone Walk DVD Review

Tone Every Zone Walk
Leslie Sansone, 2015

This DVD contains 3 twenty minute workouts, one upper body strength & walking circuit, a lower body strength & walking circuit workout and one fast walk cardio workout. You will need dumbbells for the 2 circuit workouts. Leslie works out with a group of walkers in a nice colorful set. The DVD offers audio options.

Circuit Workout One: After a warm up, Leslie alternates upper body segments with fast walking segments. Exercises include: bi curls, lat raise, front raise, fast walking, side steps, double side step, kicks, chest press adding rotation, lying tri drops, pec fly, ham curls, knees, side knee pull, and a cool down.

Circuit Workout Two: After a warm up, you alternate lower body segments with fast walking. Exercises include squats, plies, heel taps, walking, ham curl, kicks, static lunges, marching, kick & reach, side step, knee pulls, double side step, and then repeats all of the strength work with no weights. Leslie adds in tempo changes & pulses and keeps you moving in this circuit routine.

Fast Walk: After a walking warmup, exercises include walking, side step, kicks, knees, power walk, walking up & back, ham curl, double side step, side knee pull & chop, boxers shuffle, jabs, side toe taps & punches, kick & reach, grape vine & a cool down & stretch. Leslie adds in arm movements and keeps you moving nonstop in this one.

I rate these intermediate routines. The upper body is high rep lower weight and the lower is moderate weight moderate reps. The walking workout is nonstop & Leslie goes a good pace to get your heart rate up. The exercises are straight forward and easy to follow & Leslie is her usual chatty upbeat self. She provides plenty of form pointers. I received this DVD to review.
