Cathe works out with 4 backgrounders for this 52 minute strength workout. The DVD focuses on the back, biceps, and rear delt muscles and includes both bonus ab workouts, a ton of premixes, and is fully chaptered. You will need dumbbells, an optional barbell, a step with risers, and an exercise band for this workout. Cathe works each muscle with 3 exercises, a max of 12 reps per exercise, a finisher, and a short rest before moving to the next muscle group.

After a warm up, back work includes: one arm row, barbell rows & band pulls, ribcage pulloer, overhand grip row & band pull down, single arm row, seated pulls. Rear delt: rear delt fly, diagonal band pulls, lying rear delt raise, T band pull. Biceps: varied grip curls, crazy 8 bi's, hammers, outer bi curls, concentrated curls and a cool down & stretch.

This is an advanced workout! You can really heavy up and Cathe tells you the poundag she is using. Cathe provides great tips & posture reminders right when you need them. Love the heavy isolated strength work included in the set. I did not receive this DVD to review.

They seriously taste amazing- great flavor, texture, and so many yummy flavors to choose from.  Quest offers fabulously healthy protein bars that taste AMAZING. All of my fitness friends are huge fans of Quest and after trying them- I knew why! I cannot say enough good things about Quest Bars. If you have not tried their AMAZING protein bars, head out and grab one (or one box)! I had the opportunity to sample many awesome flavors of Quest bars and I AM IN LOVE. I keep a Quest bar handy in my desk drawer, kitchen cabinet and of course my gym bag. They make the perfect breakfast or lunch on the go, a great mid-afternoon snack, or the perfect pre or post workout pick me up. I always take a Quest Bar with me on my runs so I can power up after I run! Super convenient and super filling. If you have not tried Quest, grab one and you will be in love. Keeping a Quest bar in my desk drawer at work has saved me SO many times. If you are like me and have those SUPER busy days where you dont even have 5 minutes to run and pick up something (usually unhealthy) - being able to grab a Quest bar out of my drawer has been a life saver. Filling enough to keep me going for hours and I dont have to feel guilty about eating a typical on the go lunch from a drive through.

Denise Austin’s 10 Week, 360° Plan Review: Complete Total Body Toning


Denise's new 10 Week 360° Plan is a new customizable 10-week health and fitness plan that combines everything Denise knows about exercise, nutrition and motivation all in one place. The plan includes online access to her TV shows, new workouts, health & nutrition plans, customized menu options, online forums, and so much more. Her Complete Total Body Toning workout, detailed below, is available to stream on the Denise Austin website with the 10 Week, 360 Plan and available on DVD as an add-on to the system.

Denise leads this 50 minute strength workout alone in a nice open space with a view. The workout contains an upper body, core, lower body, and total body routine along with a warm up & cool down that flow from one routine to the next. You will need dumbbells for this DVD. 

Upper Body: exercises contain lat row, upper back row & fly, push-up variations, ribcage pullover, overhead press, lying over tri press, front & side raise, bi curl variations, kickbacks, rotator cuff work, and T-stand. Core: exercises include standing twists, side reaches, shifts, front & side knee pulls. Floor weighted sit ups, reverse crunches, knee drops, single leg stretch, V sit holds & knee drops, plank variations, side plank variations, and bird dog. Lower Body: exercises include squats with tempo variations, split stance dead lifts, lunge dip combo, plie, standing leg raise series, weighted lying side leg raises, donkey kick series, and a bridge series, Total Body: exercises include squat & knee raise with single arm overhead press, hinge & row, dip & chop, kettlebell swing, bi curls, chest scoops, kickbacks, V drop & twists, kneeling upper body fly, renegade rows, side plank dumbell raise, tri pushups on your knees, toe reaches, bicycle, and leg drops. 

Done following Denises poundage this is an intermediate routine. You can easily make this workout more or less challenging by using multiple sets of dumbbells and adjusting to meet your needs. Denise keeps your feet moving during the upper body work and her cuing is good. This workout accomplishes a lot & is very well rounded.  I received this dvd to review.
